Waits until an event arrives and returns it. It is safe for other threads to make concurrent requests while waiting for an event.

Register as the call manager for this device.

There can only be one call manager registered at a time. If one is registered at the time a call to Register is made, the newer CallManager channel will be closed.

A call manager can be unregistered by closing either end of the channel.
