Message Origin. Functional equivalent of otsys::otMessageOrigin.

OpenThread uses the origin to decide which security checks apply to a message. Messages injected from a host network stack that may forward traffic from an untrusted network must use Origin::HostUntrusted.

Variants

ThreadNetif = 0

Message received from the Thread network interface. Equivalent to crate::otsys::OT_MESSAGE_ORIGIN_THREAD_NETIF

HostTrusted = 1

Message from a trusted source on the host. Equivalent to crate::otsys::OT_MESSAGE_ORIGIN_HOST_TRUSTED

This is the origin OpenThread assigns to newly allocated messages.

HostUntrusted = 2

Message from an untrusted source on the host, such as a packet forwarded from the infrastructure network by a Border Router. Equivalent to crate::otsys::OT_MESSAGE_ORIGIN_HOST_UNTRUSTED
