pub enum TrailingBehavior {
Retain,
Discard,
// some variants omitted
}Expand description
Controls how PartitionIo.WritePartition handles partition contents beyond the end of the
written payload (offset + size).
Variants§
Retain
Preserve existing partition contents beyond the written range. If offset + size is not
aligned to the partition’s block size, the trailing partial block is updated via
read-modify-write.
Discard
Discard existing partition contents beyond the written range. Any trailing partial block
is zero-padded without reading from storage first, and a best-effort TRIM operation is
issued for the remaining blocks up to the end of the partition, allowing supporting storage
backends (such as UFS or eMMC) to reclaim unused blocks for garbage collection and wear
leveling.
