pub struct ProviderAddDeviceRequest {
pub device_name: Option<String>,
pub device_type: Option<DeviceType>,
pub driver_client: Option<DriverClient>,
/* private fields */
}
Fields§
§device_name: Option<String>
The device’s high-level name. Must not be an empty string.
Required.
device_type: Option<DeviceType>
Indicates the protocol used by the device, as well as (if StreamConfig) whether it is an input (a source of audio) or an output (a destination for audio).
Required.
driver_client: Option<DriverClient>
The client_end of the protocol channel (Codec, Composite, Dai or StreamConfig)
that this service will use to configure/observe the device.
For now, AddDevice
only accepts a codec_client
, composite_client
or
stream_config_client
here.
Required.
§Deprecation
Codec, Dai and StreamConfig are not supported anymore, instead use an Audio Composite , see Audio Drivers Architecture

. There are three cases: Read moreSource§fn take_or_borrow<'a>(

fn take_or_borrow<'a>( value: &'a mut <Self as TypeMarker>::Owned, ) -> Self::Borrowed<'a>
Cheaply converts from
&mut Self::Owned
to Self::Borrowed
. For
HandleBased
types this is “take” (it returns an owned handle and
replaces value
with Handle::invalid
), and for all other types it is
“borrow” (just converts from one reference to another).Source§impl TypeMarker for ProviderAddDeviceRequest
